According to a study by Luxury France Tours published in December 2024, which analysed 3 million Tripadvisor reviews across 46 European capitals, Luxembourg City was ranked the most beautiful capital in Europe. The study tracked the frequency of beauty-related keywords such as "beautiful" and "stunning." The capital of the Grand Duchy came out on top, with 18.15% of its reviews referencing beauty, ahead of Bratislava, Monaco, Valletta and Lisbon.

According to reviewers, it is the combination of clean streets, a seamless blend of historic and modern architecture and a compact, walkable centre that makes the city so visually appealing.
