Luxembourg marked a new milestone in its space sector on October 26, 2026, with the official launch of construction of the NEOS Space Campus in Kockelscheuer. The campus will bring together key players in Luxembourg’s space sector on a single site, providing specialized infrastructure to support the development, integration and qualification of space technologies.
Designed to accommodate up to 900 people, the campus’s main building will bring together the Luxembourg Space Agency, a Technoport-operated start-up incubator and space companies in an environment built for collaboration. By connecting expertise, business support and shared infrastructure, the campus aims to encourage innovation, investment and growth. Its testing facilities will also serve companies beyond the space sector, including those in automotive, aeronautics and defence.
The national test centre alone represents an estimated public investment of more than €195 million, including approximately €55 million for testing equipment. The Kockelscheuer site’s industrial and testing capabilities will complement the focus on research, innovation and training at NEOS Space Campus Belval, strengthening the links between scientific research and commercial development.
As Minister of the Economy Lex Delles stated: “We are creating the conditions necessary for innovation and investment in the sector.”
