From Austin to Silicon Valley, the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce successfully wrapped up its 2025 Trade Mission to the USA, a dynamic journey designed to strengthen transatlantic ties and open new pathways for collaboration in innovation, defense, and entrepreneurship.

The mission officially kicked off on October 6 in Austin, Texas, where the delegation engaged with the city’s vibrant innovation and defence ecosystem. Highlights included: a visit to Capital Factory, the “Center of Gravity” for entrepreneurs in Texas and Tech Ranch Austin; a panel and Q&A with key representatives from the U.S. defense sector; a meeting with Opportunity Austin and a defence roundtable with the National Security Innovation Council.

Following a visit to Oracle, Plug & Play Cedar Park, and the Founder Institute Texas, the delegation travelled to San Francisco for the second leg of the mission. There, participants visited Salesforce and Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus, gaining insights into cutting-edge technologies and AI applications.

At Stanford University, a space and defence roundtable - held in partnership with Redwire - brought together Luxembourg delegates and leading U.S. representatives to discuss joint opportunities in aerospace and advanced technology. The day concluded with an official networking reception, fostering valuable connections within the Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office’s U.S. network.

Another highlight of the mission was the signing of a MoU between the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Luxembourg City incubator and Plug and Play Tech Center . By connecting two vibrant innovation hubs, this strategic partnership lays the foundation for fast-tracking Luxembourg startups into the U.S. market and enhancing the country’s global innovation footprint.

The mission concluded with visits to Planet Labs, where Luxembourg companies showcased their expertise in space technology, and Berkeley SkyDeck, offering startups a closer look at one of the Bay Area’s leading accelerators.

Looking ahead, the Chamber is already preparing for its next U.S. trade mission in 2026 — destination: New York!
